It is a nice day and many gliders wait on the airfield to catch a start. A Schneider Grunau Baby II is coupled with a Focke Wulf Fw 44 Stieglitz for towing into the clear blue sky. On the ground are many other gliders spotted. So you can identify a Schulgleiter SG 38, a Göppingen Gö-3 Minimoa, a Grunau 9 Baby Schädelspalter, a DFS Habicht, a Schneider Grunau Baby I, a Hütter Hü 17 and a rare Horten H IV (H VI).
Boys of the Hitlerjugend are working hard and with fun, because they could even snatch a flight in a two seater glider. Luftwaffe-pilots are inspecting the interesting flying wing of the Horten Brothers, while visitors watch from their car or folding chair or bench.
This diorama has been built to show the most gliders of this area. It is exibited in Automuseum Melle, where the most of my built aircraft in 1/72 scale are assembled - almost 800 models.
I attach great importance to the statement that the symbols of the Nazi period ( Swastikas ) serve
only a faithful reproduction of the models. A political attitude can
and should not be derived from it. The generally applicable laws and
regulations, which allow an exhibition of Nazi symbols, will therefore
be satisfied.
